The graduate programme at Ceox has been a great experience
Ceox’s graduate training programme, based at our offices in Shalford, near Guildford welcomed its latest recruits during 2022. When the latest intake complete the programme that will mean the Ceox scheme has onboarded 10 graduates since the programme was established in 2020. This reflects our commitment to developing UK based graduates to grow the team to ensure we have the capacity and right mix of skills and experience to support our growing customer base.
The programme is designed to provide our graduates with an introduction to business practices and train them in software development using tools to develop an in-depth understanding of Microsoft technologies in particular Power Platform and MS Dynamics. The Programme combines online learning and certifications, structured training days, and developing in-house applications and evolving our products across Ceox’s core capabilities of Intelligent Automation, Enquiry, Correspondence and Case Management. This saw the graduates develop a Chatbot demonstrator for use in the public sector, build an internal application utilising both Canvas Apps and Model Driven Apps and create an intuitive online contact form that complied with gov.uk standards. The final phase saw the graduates shadow Ceox staff on some of customer engagements.
“The graduate programme at Ceox has been a great experience that has allowed me to develop a wide range of business and technical skills despite only having started my professional career two months ago.
I was surprised by how friendly and supportive the environment at Ceox was, and by the variety of important clients in the public sector that Ceox works with to provide a wide range of services.
Using Microsoft technology, our graduate team has developed a canvas app that can be used to keep track of tasks that need to be completed before a new person joins the company, which includes features such as sending automated emails reminding staff members they need to complete specific tasks.”
The balanced approach provides an in-depth insight into working in the Microsoft environment, the experience of utilising best practice methods and tools and assists with the development of life-long work skills such as decision-making, presentation and communicating.
The team are now looking forward to joining projects where they will work with more senior Ceox staff and mentors and continue their development.
‘’Since joining Ceox, I have divided my time between studying towards industry based qualifications and working on an internal project. I have been able to explore a wide range of skills around the Microsoft Power Platform amongst many other things.
Everyone has been really helpful and friendly. I have found my experience here at Ceox very rewarding, working alongside other trainees and more senior people who are always willing to help and give the benefit of their experience.
I am really looking forward to joining a live project and to continue learning from those around me. I realised very early on that I had made a good choice. Ceox has already made me feel that I am a valued member of the team.’’
A key part of Ceox’s ethos is to grow and develop its own talent. Ceox Director Gavin Harte said, “Recent Graduates have had a challenging time during the Pandemic. The Graduate Programme we developed was not just about developing the candidates technical skills. We felt it was important for the graduates to learn but also have some time in the office where they could interact with others and learn from other team members and mentors. These skills are key in enabling them to work closely with customer’s, understanding their needs and developing innovative solutions”. Gavin went to state, “We want staff to enjoy what they do and we have worked hard to create a relaxed friendly working environment that supports work but in an enjoyable environment”.
We are always looking for good graduates to join the team with the next intake scheduled from May 2023. Interested? then read what our current graduate team members thinks:
‘’The past two months at Ceox has been amazing. Being a part of the Ceox family felt natural and easy, and there hasn't been a moment where I felt like my impact on the company was gone unnoticed. What surprised me was the nature of the workplace, colleagues felt more like friends, and everyday has felt less like work and more like a hobby. Over the past couple months, I have been training to get my Microsoft qualifications as well as contributing to an internal Ceox project where I could put my knowledge from training into practical use.’’
“I have found the Ceox Graduate 2022 Scheme to be challenging yet rewarding. I have gained lots of hard and soft skills to become well rounded, personally and professionally.
Ceox takes care of the personal and professional wellbeing of all their staff. I couldn't have asked for a more welcoming team of people.I have already gained three Microsoft Certifications and developed an application to be used internally.
I have been surprised that I have managed to achieve so much in such a short amount of time with the support of everyone at Ceox.”
